Since its foundation in 1951 in Sweden, with the appearance of modern construction techniques with fairfaced formwork concrete, International Coating Products has been creating ready mixed thin coat plasters for machine application, which have been patented in France in 1958.
ICP set up its production facility in France in 1998 at Lagnieu, near Lyon, to serve the French and European markets.
Keeping abreast of progress and innovation in its field, ICP has been producing state of the art airless and lightweight ready-mix fillers and spray plasters for already more than 25 years.
Since 2008, ICP is a member of the Cromology Group (formerly Materis Paints) and has continued its growth, seing production and sales doubled over the past 9 years in a flat European construction market thanks to our commettent to excellence in product quality and customer service. Today ALLTEK® is a 100% French brand and the quality of our ready-mix coatings is now widely acknowledged by construction professionals. Alltek plasters are also available in many non-European countries, where they are manufactured under license.

While in France, the Alltek® approach to new build construction surfaces has been ruling the game for 50 years, it was only back in 2010 that ICP-Alltek signalled the kick-off for the conversion of the professional market for hand applied fillers used by all decorators, initiating the change from old fashioned gypsum powder fillers to lightweight ready-mix compounds with the launch of our famous AlltekLight range.
Seven years later, sales of ready-mix lightweight compounds in the paint retail merchants where we introduced this product have increased from virtually zero up to an average one third of their sales of fillers.
The aim of International Coating Products is to provide the best solutions to distributors and plastering and decorating professionals to replace the powder based products which in most situations are today obsolete in terms of ease of work and economically, given the overall time saving for preparation and application made possible with the high quality Alltek® products.

A high performance industrial facility for perfect quality
With a production capacity of 35,000 tonnes (equivalent to 25 million litres of ready mixed plaster), our factory is equipped with IT-controlled production management and automated packaging lines.
ICP is the largest French manufacturer of ready to use fillers and spray plasters by volume and is part of the top three producers in Europe.
Our company is increasing its production capacity by 30% in 2017 to more than 45,000 metric tonne to be able to respond even faster to customer demand.
Thanks to the expertise of our quality department each batch is inspected before packaging and is completely traceable. Samples are systematically taken and retained for 12 months. The safety datasheets are available under the “Documentation” tab.
A research & development lab for continuous innovation
Our integrated research and development laboratory is a major advantage and a guarantee of quality for our company. It is the essential motor for guiding innovation, which we employ to produce high performance ready mix compounds or ones with specific technical features.
The official recognition of the quality of our products, in addition to that accorded to us by our customers, is provided through benchmark professional certification bodies such as CSTB, CEBTP, LNE, IREF and others.
The staff of our R&D laboratory strives daily to improve its formulas through acquired expertise and solid technical and scientific experience in ready-mix compounds. They work closely with production staff to ensure product compliance and quality to our customers.
Health & environment
ICP has been certified under OSHAS 18001 since 2012. More than 99% of ICP’s production fulfils the requirements of the French A+ classification for emissions into the air in building interiors.
In our constant endeavours to create products that are as benign as possible for the environment and health, the average VOC content of our products is now lower than 0.5 g per litre of filler.
A pioneer in lightweight plasters with their technical performance designed to improve quality of surface finish and worksite productivity, ICP is leading the transition to modern lightweight products and advanced application systems (such as the Tyrex system) by providing professionals with the best materials and tools in the pursuit optimum working conditions.
Our expertise in lightweight spray plasters and fillers results in reduced handling, a 35% reduction in heavy lifting, more comfortable working postures and easier sanding, reducing fatigue and the risk of RSI for plastering professionals.
With the maximum use of lightweight components, ICP contributes to a significant reduction in truck movements required both upstream and downstream of production process.
