DESCRIPTION

Lightweight bonding and filling plaster for jointing tapes and face work in damp rooms. Alltek Blue Hydro is a ready-to-use lightweight blue-green plaster.

USE

  • Plaster for damp interior rooms, walls and ceilings on all standard substrates.
  • Alltek Blue Hydro is primarily designed for jointing plasterboards in damp rooms. It may also be use as a smoothing and filling plaster.
Typical spreadability 1 litre/m² per mm of thickness.
Recommended thicknesses
  • Min. thickness: 0,3 mm
  • Max. thickness: 3 mm

  • Shelf life is 1 year in unopened original packaging, protected from frost and extreme heat.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Substrates:

  • Waterpoofed plasterboard, tiles.
  • Glass web, plaster, gypsum blocks, bricks, concrete, old painted substrates, non-flaking and in good condition.

Preparation of substrate:

  • The substrates, preparatory work and application conditions must be compliant with applicable building trade regulations (e.g. DTU) and standards.
  • The plasterboard must be fixed and compliant with DTU 25-41.

Application tips:

  • Stir before use if necessary.
  • Plaster over any screw heads.
  • Fill the feathered sections of plasterboard with Alltek Blue Hydro. Bond then press on the jointing tape.
  • After drying, apply one or two finish coats.
  • Sanding with grain size 100 to 150.

Recommendations:

  • Alltek Blue Hydro is not used under a tiled finish.
