METHOD OF APPLICATION
|
Substrates:
- Rough concrete (slab floors, precast slabs, formwork, concrete blocks).
- Brick tiles, Monomur bricks, gypsum blocks, plasterboard, plaster.
- Cellular concrete blocks after repair of spalling.
Preparation of substrate:
- The substrates, preparatory work and application conditions must be compliant with applicable building trade regulations (e.g. DTU) and standards.
Application tips:
- Stir before use if necessary.
- Any airless pump, flow rate > 5L (do not use filter), T-Max airless pump or airless high pressure worm gear pump. Airless 35 to 55 nozzles, depending on condition of substrate and equipment used (follow the manufacturer’s advice).
- Standard screw pump. 4 to 6 mm nozzles, depending on condition of substrate and equipment used (follow the manufacturer’s advice).
- If necessary, first treat joints between blocks etc. with Alltek Y-Max.
- Apply an initial smooth layer thick (3mm). After drying, apply a second layer less thickly to obtain a better finish.
- Sand manually or with a machine to achieve a smooth surface ready to paint.
- Sanding with grain size 100 to 150.
Recommendations:
- Ensure adequate ventilation to remove excess moisture and accelerate drying.
